Bosch presents the world's first lawnmowers powered by a lithium-ion battery. These cordless mowers are as powerful as a corded Rotak: they even cut long grass powerfully. They also offer the user more freedom of movement and can work unhindered anywhere – even in places where there is no plug socket.
For the first time with mowers, the energy is supplied by the "Li-Ion 36 V" battery, which has already proven to be hugely successful in professional Bosch Power Tools. It has many advantages: no memory effect and minimum self-discharge. Even if it is not used for six months, it still retains 80 percent of its charge. This means that cordless Rotaks are always ready for to use when you need them. The battery weighs only 1.2 kilograms due to its high energy density, which makes the entire mower around 40 percent lighter than conventional cordless mowers with a lead acid gel battery.
Once the battery has been run down completely, the quick charger that comes complete with the tool requires only one hour to fully recharge it; it takes up to 20 hours to fully recharge lead acid gel batteries. It can be recharged in any charging state, without suffering any loss in capacity. The service life of the Li-Ion 36 V is also considerably longer. The new battery gives approximately four times the charge cycles of a standard leadacid battery.
In comparison to petrol gasoline-driven mowers, another advantage of the new Bosch Rotak LI Lawnmowers is their environmental friendliness. They are powered by electricity, thus they do not produce emissions, they do not need expensive gasoline nor do they require extensive maintenance, and – they are quiet. What's more, you no longer have to tire yourself out jump-starting the gasoline-driven motor by pulling the cord, which tends to delay the enjoyment of gardening. working in the garden.
The Rotak 43LI and Rotak 37LI are based on the established Rotak 43 and Rotak 37 models, both of which have grass combs.
